Kate Klimesh
Administrator

Kate is the new Administrator at Riceville Family Care & Therapy Center.  She graduated from Luther College with a Biology, and Psychology major in 1992.  She successfully earned her Nursing Home Administrator's License in 2017.  She has worked in Long-term Care for over 12 years in various leadership roles, and brings her enthusiasm into every endeavor!

Kate lives in Spillville, with her husband, Mike, and their son Benjamin.  In her spare time, Kate enjoys baking, cooking, and spending time at the gym.

Sharon Adams - Business Office Manager

Sharon is the Business Office Manager at Riceville Family Care & Therapy Center.  She earned her General Secretary Certificate from RCTC.

She previously worked at H&R Block, and Sacred Heart Hospice.

Sharon and her husband Gary, are also farmers near Riceville.  They have 3 children, and 7 grandchildren.  In her free time, Sharon enjoys biking, kayaking and camping with her family.

 

Stephanie Klimesh - Director of Nursing

Stephanie completed CNA training in 2009. She worked as a CNA until 2011 when she completed her Med Aide.  In 2014, Stephanie finished her ADN schooling from NICC, in Calmar, IA.  Since completing her ADN schooling, she has worked in pediatrics, clinics, geriatrics, as well as long term care. 

Stephanie is married to Harley, and they have one daughter, Aubrey.  They live on a family farm by Protivin.

In her downtime, she enjoys playing pool with her husband, playing softball, and volleyball.  But most importantly spending time with her daughter.

 

Kirby Weida - Social Services Department

Assistant Director of Nursing, MDS Coordinator, Social Services Designee

Kirby started as a CNA in 2001 at what was the Riceville Rest Home, at the time.  She became the Restorative Aide a few years later.  After working at the facility for a few years, she decided she would like to make this a career.  She received her LPN from NIACC in Mason City, 2007. She returned in 2008 to work as Charge Nurse.  She then took on the role of MDS Coordinator, and most recently also added the role of Social Worker Designee.  Kirby is currently working towards completing her RN. 

 

Kirby and Erik Weida got married in 2005. They have two boys, and one girl, all of who keep them quite busy.  They live on an acreage north of Riceville.

 

 

Darla Perzynski - Activity Director

Darla is the Activity Director at Riceville Family Care & Therapy Center.  She has worked as an Activity Director for 10 years, and traveling CNA for Nurse Finders.

Darla is married with 5 children, and 6 grandchildren.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.  She also enjoys traveling, riding motorcycle, walking, fishing... and her dog Mitzi too!

Sue Rawhouser

Dietary Supervisor

Sue is our Dietary Supervisor, overseer of the Serve Safe Food Training, and also the Congregate Meals Coordinator.  Sue and the Dietary Crew are responsible for the wonderful meals at our facility!

Sue and her late husband have 3 daughters and 1 grandson.  She enjoys gardening, cooking, baking, reading, and spending time with her family... especially her grandson Braxton!

Jeff Nasstrom, D.O.

Dr. Nasstrom was born in Fridley, Minnesota. He graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and then completed his medical schooling at Des Moines University.  Dr. Nasstrom completed his residency training at Broadlawns, Des Moines, Iowa and is board certified in Family Practice.

Dr. Nasstrom and his wife, Angela, have four children—Lauren, Erica, Bailey and Carson. Dr. Nasstrom enjoys running, biking, basketball and is an active member of the Kiwanis Club.

 

Kailee Janssen, Physical Therapist Assistant

Kailee is a PTA with 10+ years of experience, with backgrounds in outpatient, inpatient, and home health care. 

Kailee is a mom to two beautiful girls, and lives with her husband on a farm, raising bucking bulls.  In her free time, she enjoys family time, camping, and taking trips.  I love to make others laugh, and to share a smile.

 

Dr. Lisa Gerdts

Dr. Coral Gerdts

Dr. Gerdts is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.  She completed her surgical residency in Kansas City, Missouri and received her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the University of Osteopathic Medicine, and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa.  She graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, and is an Osage Community High School graduate.

Dr. Gerdts and her husband Doug, live in rural Osage with three children, Garrison, Logan and Colton.

Erik Weida - Maintenance

Maintenance

Erik came to Riceville Family Care after working 14 years at McNeilus. He and his wife, Kirby, have two boys, Gunner, age 4, Max, age 1, and one baby girl named Vayda.

Erik likes spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
